El Beso Linocut Original

Original piece | 5"x7" Linocut print with oil pastel Inspired by Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss", this original print is hand-carved and hand-printed on deckled paper with an oil pastel background. The goal of this piece was to pull the viewer into the intimate scene by removing the facial expressions and focusing on the negative space within the work. Once the linocut is hand-printed, I add a strong yellow ochre background in oil pastel.
