Bésame Linocut Print

Linocut Print | 10" x 14" | Black ink on paper Inspired by Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" painted between 1907 and 1908, my interpretation of this work focuses on the sharp geometric shapes within the man's orbit contrasting with the circles and flowers within the woman. There's a sense of shapes drifting about the space, but with a strong pull towards the woman's expression. There is also a tenderness and passion within the hands of both - a desire to hold on and never let go.
